What is the latest time I can order flowers?
To order flowers for same day despatch please place your order before 14.00pm (GMT), Mondays-Fridays. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched the next working day.
When can I expect my flowers to be delivered?
All Moonpig Flowers orders are packed and processed from our base in Guernsey, The Channel Islands. Orders leave the island late afternoon and reach a mainland hub in the evening. The vast majority of deliveries are received the next day, except for 'Highlands and Islands' which may take an extra day. We would recommend allowing 3 working days for delivery and ensuring that the recipient will be at the address when the flowers are meant to arrive.
What days do you despatch?
Moonpig Flowers orders are sent Monday to Friday. We do not despatch at weekends or on public holidays (these days cannot be selected on the Delivery Page).
I want my flowers to arrive on the weekend. What day shall I select for flower despatch?
For a Saturday arrival we would recommend you select Thursday at the latest. Some post offices only work half days on Saturday, so it would be safer to allow for a Friday delivery.
What happens if the recipient is not at home to receive the flowers?
According to the Royal Mail, the postman will either leave the flowers at his own discretion in a safe place or with neighbours. Failing that, they will return the flowers to the sorting office and leave a delivery note requesting collection. Usually it is marked as a 'Perishable Item' to alert the recipients to the need to collect the flowers soon. As the sender, please consider carefully where you are having the flowers sent. Often work addresses are best as there is bound to be someone there to receive them.
Where can I send flowers to?
We only allow for sending flowers to the UK and Northern Ireland. Postal flowers are packed in bud for maximum freshness with a wet wad around their stems to help them on their 2-3 day journey. Any further afield than this and the flowers will simply not last as long.
Can I use my Prepay to pay for flowers?
No, unfortunately any Prepay amounts on your account can only be used on our card products (Large, Standard, Square, Small and Postcards). The checkout and payment system will always take you straight to the card payment page when completing your order.
How are the flowers packed and despatched?
The flowers and foliage are cut to approx 60cm in length, bundled together and have their stems wrapped in a wet wad. Held together by a protective plastic sleeve, covered in white tissue and decorative white bow securely tied to the Moonpig Flowers gift box. In the box there is flower food and flower care instructions. If you have added a message, this prints on the address label placed in the plastic sleeve on the front of the box. Unlike florist hand delivered flowers, the bouquets will require some attention when they arrive with the recipients eg. the stems need to be cut, placed in a vase with water and flower food and left for at least 2 days to be seen at their best.
Are the flowers hand delivered?
Unlike florist hand delivered bouquets, Moonpig Flowers are postal flowers and aim to give maximum pleasure for as long a time as possible. This is why they are cut flowers, sent in bud and need to be cut on arrival, added to water and flower food in a vase.
Do I need a postcode?
We would highly recommend including a postcode. Our experience shows us that not including a postcode can cause at least a day's delay in delivering the flowers. Parcels with postcodes are automatically sorted and are despatched much faster. Please use the Royal Mail's quick and efficient postcode finder at
www.royalmail.com.
I have sent my flowers using Special Delivery, how do I track the flowers?
Using Royal Mail Track and Trace allows you to find out where your flowers box are. In your Order History, click on your order and a 13 digit Special Delivery number will appear eg. ZYZ00998877. Go to
www.royalmail.com/trackandtrace and follow the instructions using your code to find your flowers are.
My flowers have not arrived, what shall I do now?
If your order has not been received after 3 working days, we will happily refund you the cost of the order or can despatch a replacement order. please contact us at help@moonpig.com or by phone on 0845 4500 100 (Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm).
What if my flowers order is not acceptable?
Please contact us via the ways listed below, and let us know in detail what the problem is with the flowers. This is so we can record any complaints and keep a track of what is working and what is not. We will then refund you the cost of the flowers or, if you prefer, send a replacement box.
Where are the flowers from?
We are based in Guernsey, on the Channel Islands and actively promote the local growers on the island. Therefore the vast majority of flower varieties are locally grown, domestic flowers. We do have some bouquets with special flower varieties that have to be sourced from abroad. This is stated on each bouquet's page.
Do you always use exactly the right flowers?
For each bouquet, especially the mixed varieties, we do reserve the right to substitute flowers and foliage with another colour or like variety of the same price. However, it is only on the rare occasion that some flowers may not be available.
Can I order any size card with my flowers?
We can only send our Standard (185mm x 132mm) or square (132mm x 132mm) size cards with the flowers boxes, simply due to the space available inside the box.
Can I just send flowers, without a card?
Yes, we recommend you add a short message to the address label that is attached to the front of the box. Otherwise your recpients won't know who to thank for the flowers!
Can I make up my own bouquet?
Currently, we can only offer set bouquets of pre-selected flower varieties and colours.
How often do you change the bouquets and selection?
We will be adding and changing bouquets throughout the year. Some flower varieties are only available at certain times of the year and will be featured for a short time accordingly.
